The UN describes the Global Compact as “a call to companies to align strategies and operations with universal principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and take actions that advance societal goals”.

9500 companies in over 160 counties, across sectors and company size, have signed up to follow its ten principles in their daily operations. The UNGC have recently teamed up with Volans to create Project Breakthrough, charting a path to the ‘business of tomorrow’ and looking at exponential technology, sustainable business models and innovation challenges as a means to encourage the business community to play an active role in reaching the Global Goals.
