Unicef Innovation Fund

Unicef Innovation Fund

UNICEF are blazing a trail for large NGOs to adopt cutting edge innovation practices.

Their Innovation team, globally dispersed but head quartered in NY, is tasked with identifying, prototyping and scaling technologies and practices that strengthen UNICEF's work for children - ranging from new products to new ways to structure programmes.

The Innovation Fund has been specifically developed to fund promising early stage, open source technology that can benefit children. In their own words:  "We find these solutions clustered around $100 billion industries in frontier technology spaces, such as: blockchain, UAVs, virtual and augmented reality, 3D printing, machine learning, quantum computing, genetic engineering, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, nano-satellites and human dynamics."
