Obelisk is a 'legal business with a heart'. While most other legal firms source talent straight out of university, Dana Denis-Smith spotted another huge, untapped asset. A generation of highly qualified, ex-City lawyers were sitting at home, forced out of a rigid labour market because they'd started families. They could no longer do 10 hour days, or even work on site full time.

What they could do however, was practice law. Very well. But it needed to be on their terms.
